Our Story
About the Artist
Katherine M Yatsko (Katie) is an interdisciplinary artist and movement facilitator based in the Greater Philly Area. After becoming a mother in 2022, Katie's work, previously centered on finding connections between moving and making, expanded to include tender explorations of motherhood and care. In 2025, she premiered her evening length dance work, “Slowly, Slowly, we begin again…” which told her story of matrescence through the lens of a snail.
With a background in dance, yoga, and somatic practices, Katie is passionate about helping mothers reconnect with their bodies postpartum, reminding them that they have home within themselves, as they transition into their role as home for someone else.
This desire to carry and craft home space also led to the creation of Nature and Nurture, bringing magic to every day moments.
